Tim Tunes
I’m Tim Rose and I’ve been writing songs for over 50 years. Each episode I’ll feature two or three songs that I’ve written over the years on a particular theme or subject or I'll interview someone who has been a key influence on me and my songwriting and performing. In the podcast I’ll explain what I am doing in each song, where they came from and the circumstances under which they were recorded. In interviews I'll explain how we met, how the interviewee became involved in music and how they influenced my work.

[Tim Tunes LIVE 20230702 stream]
Welcome to the first performance of Tim Tunes LIVE. The Tim Tunes Podcast live and online.
Since this is the initial broadcast it’s something of an experiment. Please excuse us if we have technical difficulties.
So today will be a combination of songs that I have not included in other podcasts and some new songs that I’ve written.
Initially, I had all kinds of plans about including my arrangements of songs and a live vocal harmonizer, but end the end I was only able to put together a single instrument played live.
I hope you enjoy it.
E chord
This first song is one I wrote around 1975 or so. It was written for a friend’s first child. Here is Little Eyes

That last song was As In Love, I wrote that song for my wife in the latter 70’s. It was also included in a mix of tunes that I played at my wedding.
Let’s check in and see if we have any comments…
I wrote this next song when my Mom passed away in 2010. It’s my thoughts and feelings on grief. Today, this one goes out to Terry.

The You of You was written recently after my 50th High School Reunion. I was struck how after all of that time there something essential that remained about that person. I hope you can relate.
I have a thing about songs that it’s like does a song really esist if I’ve never played it live. This last song and the next one are the world premiers for these two.
This next song has been rolling around in my head for years and finally found its way out a few months ago. I hope you enjoy Don’t Hate Me.
